On a cafe floor it goes where the seating has to be moved twice a day: the window run in the morning, the back wall after six. The solid wood carries the load and the velvet is what people meet at the table, which is the right way round for a chair that gets used all day.
Frame and upholstery
The frame is solid wood, dry-jointed and glued at the corners rather than stapled, so it stays square through a year of being pushed in and out. The velvet pile is short and dense, chosen so it does not flatten where people push back from the table.
Made to your floor plan
Nothing here is stocked. Frame colour, upholstery and seat height follow your drawing, and the first sample goes out before the run is booked. Velvet wants a soft brush against the pile, not a damp cloth, which leaves a mark.
