It goes along a long shared table, where the chairs are the only thing that moves all day. The solid wood carries the load and the velvet is what people meet at the table, which is the right way round for a chair that gets used all day.
Frame and upholstery
The frame is solid wood, dry-jointed and glued at the corners rather than stapled, so it stays square through a year of being pushed in and out. The velvet pile is short and dense, chosen so it does not flatten where people push back from the table.
Made to your floor plan
Every run starts from your drawings. Frame colour, upholstery and seat height are open, samples go out before the production run, and the whole order leaves from Foshan. Velvet wants a soft brush against the pile, not a damp cloth, which leaves a mark.
