On a cafe floor it goes where the seating has to be moved twice a day: the window run in the morning, the back wall after six. The solid wood carries the load and the fabric is what people meet at the table, which is the right way round for a chair that gets used all day.
Frame and upholstery
The frame is solid wood, dry-jointed and glued at the corners rather than stapled, so it stays square through a year of being pushed in and out. Upholstery is a woven fabric over foam, with the seams piped so the edge keeps its line. The arms sit at a height that clears a 720 mm table top, so the chair pulls in without catching.

We cut to your drawings rather than to a catalogue: frame colour, upholstery and seat height can all move, and a sample leaves the workshop before the run starts. Fabric takes a vacuum head once a week and a spot clean the same day something spills.
