It works along a wall or a banquette, where the chair is only ever pulled out and pushed back. The solid wood carries the load and the leather is what people meet at the table, which is the right way round for a chair that gets used all day.
Frame and upholstery
The frame is solid wood, dry-jointed and glued at the corners rather than stapled, so it stays square through a year of being pushed in and out. Seat and back are upholstered in leather, cut by hand and stitched with matching thread. The silhouette is retro, drawn from the shapes that came back into cafe work after the laminate years.
Made to your floor plan
Seat height is set at 450 mm for 720–750 mm cafe tables. We cut to your drawings rather than to a catalogue: frame colour, upholstery and seat height can all move, and a sample leaves the workshop before the run starts. Leather wants a damp cloth and a neutral soap, nothing with solvent in it.
