It suits the middle of the room, where chairs get turned and dragged rather than lifted. The solid wood carries the load and the leather is what people meet at the table, which is the right way round for a chair that gets used all day.
Frame and upholstery
The frame is solid wood, dry-jointed and glued at the corners rather than stapled, so it stays square through a year of being pushed in and out. Seat and back are upholstered in leather, cut by hand and stitched with matching thread. The proportions are mid-century, which is why it sits easily next to both timber and steel tables.
Made to your floor plan
The order starts when the sample is signed off. Frame colour, upholstery and seat height are the three things we change most often, and all three are quoted with the sample. Leather wants a damp cloth and a neutral soap, nothing with solvent in it.
