This is the table for the metre of floor nobody planned for — beside a door, at the end of a counter, in the gap between two banquettes. At 600 mm square it takes one person, two drinks and nothing else, which is the point.
Top and base
The top is metal with a timber-look face, so it is thinner than a timber top at the same strength and will not cup. The frame is folded steel rather than a column, which puts four feet on the floor instead of one and keeps the table steady when somebody leans on a corner.
Made to your floor plan
One size, 1020 mm high, which pairs with a 750 mm stool. If the room wants a larger standing table, take the 800 mm turned pedestal instead — same height, more presence.
