Trestle legs let one person move a standing table without dragging it, which a column base never does. In a room that is rearranged between services, that is the difference between using the floor and working around it.
Top and base
The legs splay outward so the footprint is wider than the top, which is what keeps a tall table steady when somebody leans on one edge. Joints are dowelled and glued at the shoulders rather than screwed through the face.
Made to your floor plan
Nine hundred round at 1060 mm as standard, with 1200 mm available for a shared standing table. Timber is matched across the top and finished to your sample; the legs can be stained darker than the top if the room needs the contrast.
