Turned timber is the one base that looks better the more it is used: the profile collects wear where feet land and the timber darkens there. At standing height it becomes the piece a room is remembered for.
Top and base
The pedestal is turned from solid stock and sits on a cross foot that gives it four points of contact instead of one disc. The top is 40 mm solid timber with a chamfered edge, heavy enough that it does not ring when someone leans on it.
Made to your floor plan
Eight hundred round at 1060 mm is what we build when the drawing does not say. At that height it pairs with a 750 mm seat, or with no seat at all — a standing table for the ten minutes before a table frees up.
