It goes under a table that is cleared and reset four times between opening and close. The stainless steel carries the load and the leather is what people meet at the table, which is the right way round for a chair that gets used all day.
Frame and upholstery
The frame is stainless steel, brushed rather than polished, so cleaning cloths leave no marks on it. Seat and back are upholstered in leather, cut by hand and stitched with matching thread.
Built to your drawing
Each run is sampled at the bench: one chair is built first and signed off before the rest start. The order starts when the sample is signed off. Frame colour, upholstery and seat height are the three things we change most often, and all three are quoted with the sample.
Ordering and care
Lead time runs from sample sign-off, not from the enquiry, which is the number most quotes leave out. Leather wants a damp cloth and a neutral soap, nothing with solvent in it.
