It suits a room where the tables are fixed and the chairs are what people rearrange. There is no upholstery to wear through here, so what you see is what the chair is: solid wood through the frame and the seat.
Frame and upholstery
The frame is solid wood, jointed and glued at the corners rather than stapled, so it stays square through a year of being pushed in and out. There is no upholstery on this model, so the frame is the whole chair and there is nothing to recover later.
Built to your drawing
Seat rails are sized from the upholstery thickness, so the cushion does not push the frame apart. Seat height is set to your drawing rather than to a stock number: send the table or counter height and the leg is cut to suit, and a sample leaves the workshop before the run starts.
Ordering and care
Lead time runs from sample sign-off, not from the enquiry, which is the number most quotes leave out. Two cloths, one dry and one damp, cover what the frame needs.
