It is the spare seat by the door, the one pulled across when a third person joins a table. The solid wood carries the load and the rattan is what people meet at the table, which is the right way round for a chair that gets used all day.
Frame and upholstery
The frame is solid wood, jointed and glued at the corners rather than stapled, so it stays square through a year of being pushed in and out. The seat is woven in rattan, pulled tight over the frame so it does not sag at the front edge.
Built to your drawing
Hardware is stainless where the chair will be wiped down, and recessed so it does not catch a cloth. We work from the drawing rather than from a stock list. Frame colour, upholstery and seat height stay open until the sample is signed off.
Ordering and care
It is packed flat where the design allows, which keeps the freight bill down on a run of forty or more. Rattan wants a dry brush and a damp cloth, and it should not be left wet overnight.
