It suits a room where the tables are fixed and the chairs are what people rearrange. The rattan carries the load and the fabric is what people meet at the table, which is the right way round for a chair that gets used all day.
Frame and upholstery
The frame is built from rattan, wrapped and bound at the joints, which is what keeps a light chair stiff. Upholstery is a woven fabric over foam, with the seams piped so the edge keeps its line. The back is woven rather than solid, so the chair reads light from across the room.
Built to your drawing
Seat rails are sized from the upholstery thickness, so the cushion does not push the frame apart. Nothing here is stocked. Frame colour, upholstery and seat height follow your drawing, and the first sample goes out before the run is booked.
Ordering and care
It is packed flat where the design allows, which keeps the freight bill down on a run of forty or more. Fabric takes a vacuum head once a week and a spot clean the same day something spills.
