It works along a banquette, where the chair is only ever pulled out and pushed back. The ash wood carries the load and the upholstered is what people meet at the table, which is the right way round for a chair that gets used all day.
Frame and upholstery
Ash is used for the frame: straight grain, so a thin back rail stays stiff without being made thicker. Seat and back are upholstered, with the fabric, the colour and the grade open to your sample.
Built to your drawing
Where a run is going into a chain fit-out, the first batch is shot against the drawing before packing. Seat height is set to your drawing rather than to a stock number: send the table or counter height and the leg is cut to suit, and a sample leaves the workshop before the run starts.
Ordering and care
We ship EXW Foshan or DDP, and the loading plan is drawn before the container is booked. Fabric grade decides the cleaning method, and it is named on the sample tag with the order.
