It is the chair that ends up on the terrace on a warm afternoon and back inside by seven. There is no upholstery to wear through here, so what you see is what the chair is: solid wood through the frame and the seat.
Frame and upholstery
The frame is solid wood, jointed and glued at the corners rather than stapled, so it stays square through a year of being pushed in and out. There is no upholstery on this model, so the frame is the whole chair and there is nothing to recover later. The back runs above the shoulder line, for a room where people sit for an hour and lean.
Built to your drawing
Each run is sampled at the bench: one chair is built first and signed off before the rest start. Seat height is set to your drawing rather than to a stock number: send the table or counter height and the leg is cut to suit, and a sample leaves the workshop before the run starts.
Ordering and care
We ship EXW Foshan or DDP, and the loading plan is drawn before the container is booked. Two cloths, one dry and one damp, cover what the frame needs.
