It suits the corner table, where the chair is pushed back against the wall and left there. The solid wood carries the load and the velvet is what people meet at the table, which is the right way round for a chair that gets used all day.
Frame and upholstery
The frame is solid wood, jointed and glued at the corners rather than stapled, so it stays square through a year of being pushed in and out. The velvet pile is short and dense, chosen so it does not flatten where people push back from the table. The back runs above the shoulder line, for a room where people sit for an hour and lean.
Built to your drawing
Feet are fitted with felt or nylon glides, depending on whether the floor is tile or timber. Seat height is set to your drawing rather than to a stock number: send the table or counter height and the leg is cut to suit, and a sample leaves the workshop before the run starts.
Ordering and care
We ship EXW Foshan or DDP, and the loading plan is drawn before the container is booked. Velvet wants a soft brush against the pile, not a damp cloth, which leaves a mark.
