It fits the counter side, where the seats sit close and the gap between them is measured. There is no upholstery to wear through here, so what you see is what the chair is: metal through the frame and the seat.
Frame and upholstery
The frame is welded steel tube, powder-coated after welding so the joints stay covered and no weld shows. There is no upholstery on this model, so the frame is the whole chair and there is nothing to recover later. The back is curved in plan as well as in section, which is what stops a shoulder finding an edge.
Built to your drawing
Corner blocks are glued and pinned, which is what stops a chair going out of square after a season. The order starts when the sample is signed off. Frame colour, upholstery and seat height are the three things we change most often, and all three are quoted with the sample.
Ordering and care
Lead time runs from sample sign-off, not from the enquiry, which is the number most quotes leave out. Two cloths, one dry and one damp, cover what the frame needs.
