It goes where the seating has to move twice a day: the window run in the morning, the back wall after six. There is no upholstery to wear through here, so what you see is what the chair is: solid wood through the frame and the seat.
Frame and upholstery
The frame is solid wood, jointed and glued at the corners rather than stapled, so it stays square through a year of being pushed in and out. There is no upholstery on this model, so the frame is the whole chair and there is nothing to recover later.
Built to your drawing
Feet are fitted with felt or nylon glides, depending on whether the floor is tile or timber. The order starts when the sample is signed off. Frame colour, upholstery and seat height are the three things we change most often, and all three are quoted with the sample.
Ordering and care
Lead time runs from sample sign-off, not from the enquiry, which is the number most quotes leave out. Two cloths, one dry and one damp, cover what the frame needs.
