It goes under a table that is cleared and reset four times between opening and close. The metal carries the load and the leather is what people meet at the table, which is the right way round for a chair that gets used all day.
Frame and upholstery
The frame is welded steel tube, powder-coated after welding so the joints stay covered and no weld shows. Seat and back are upholstered in leather, cut by hand and stitched with matching thread. The back is tufted, with the buttons pulling the panel into shape rather than pressed in for decoration.
Built to your drawing
Corner blocks are glued and pinned, which is what stops a chair going out of square after a season. We work from the drawing rather than from a stock list. Frame colour, upholstery and seat height stay open until the sample is signed off.
Ordering and care
Lead time runs from sample sign-off, not from the enquiry, which is the number most quotes leave out. Leather wants a damp cloth and a neutral soap, nothing with solvent in it.
