It goes where the seating has to move twice a day: the window run in the morning, the back wall after six. The stainless steel carries the load and the velvet is what people meet at the table, which is the right way round for a chair that gets used all day.
Frame and upholstery
The frame is stainless steel, brushed rather than polished, so cleaning cloths leave no marks on it. The velvet pile is short and dense, chosen so it does not flatten where people push back from the table.
Built to your drawing
Corner blocks are glued and pinned, which is what stops a chair going out of square after a season. We work from the drawing rather than from a stock list. Frame colour, upholstery and seat height stay open until the sample is signed off.
Ordering and care
Lead time runs from sample sign-off, not from the enquiry, which is the number most quotes leave out. Velvet wants a soft brush against the pile, not a damp cloth, which leaves a mark.
