It goes along a long shared table, where the chairs are the only thing that moves all day. The stainless steel carries the load and the leather is what people meet at the table, which is the right way round for a chair that gets used all day.
Frame and upholstery
The frame is stainless steel, brushed rather than polished, so cleaning cloths leave no marks on it. Seat and back are upholstered in leather, cut by hand and stitched with matching thread. It stacks, and the seat and back are shaped so the stack stays straight instead of toppling.
Built to your drawing
Legs are cut from the same board as the rails, so the grain runs the same way round the frame. We work from the drawing rather than from a stock list. Frame colour, upholstery and seat height stay open until the sample is signed off.
Ordering and care
Lead time runs from sample sign-off, not from the enquiry, which is the number most quotes leave out. Leather wants a damp cloth and a neutral soap, nothing with solvent in it.
