It works along a banquette, where the chair is only ever pulled out and pushed back. The solid wood carries the load and the fabric is what people meet at the table, which is the right way round for a chair that gets used all day.
Frame and upholstery
The frame is solid wood, jointed and glued at the corners rather than stapled, so it stays square through a year of being pushed in and out. Upholstery is a woven fabric over foam, with the seams piped so the edge keeps its line.
Built to your drawing
Hardware is stainless where the chair will be wiped down, and recessed so it does not catch a cloth. Seat height is set to your drawing rather than to a stock number: send the table or counter height and the leg is cut to suit, and a sample leaves the workshop before the run starts.
Ordering and care
Lead time runs from sample sign-off, not from the enquiry, which is the number most quotes leave out. Fabric takes a vacuum head once a week and a spot clean the same day something spills.
