It is the chair that ends up on the terrace on a warm afternoon and back inside by seven. The rattan carries the load and the rattan is what people meet at the table, which is the right way round for a chair that gets used all day.
Frame and upholstery
The frame is built from rattan, wrapped and bound at the joints, which is what keeps a light chair stiff. The seat is woven in rattan, pulled tight over the frame so it does not sag at the front edge.
Built to your drawing
Feet are fitted with felt or nylon glides, depending on whether the floor is tile or timber. Seat height is set to your drawing rather than to a stock number: send the table or counter height and the leg is cut to suit, and a sample leaves the workshop before the run starts.
Ordering and care
Lead time runs from sample sign-off, not from the enquiry, which is the number most quotes leave out. Rattan wants a dry brush and a damp cloth, and it should not be left wet overnight.
