It fits a narrow floor, where the chairs have to tuck fully under the table to keep the aisle. The solid wood carries the load and the leather is what people meet at the table, which is the right way round for a chair that gets used all day.
Frame and upholstery
The frame is solid wood, jointed and glued at the corners rather than stapled, so it stays square through a year of being pushed in and out. Seat and back are upholstered in leather, cut by hand and stitched with matching thread. The back is curved in plan as well as in section, which is what stops a shoulder finding an edge.
Built to your drawing
Hardware is stainless where the chair will be wiped down, and recessed so it does not catch a cloth. The order starts when the sample is signed off. Frame colour, upholstery and seat height are the three things we change most often, and all three are quoted with the sample.
Ordering and care
It is packed flat where the design allows, which keeps the freight bill down on a run of forty or more. Leather wants a damp cloth and a neutral soap, nothing with solvent in it.
