It is the spare seat by the door, the one pulled across when a third person joins a table. The solid wood carries the load and the fabric is what people meet at the table, which is the right way round for a chair that gets used all day.
Frame and upholstery
The frame is solid wood, jointed and glued at the corners rather than stapled, so it stays square through a year of being pushed in and out. Upholstery is a woven fabric over foam, with the seams piped so the edge keeps its line. The back runs above the shoulder line, for a room where people sit for an hour and lean.
Built to your drawing
Feet are fitted with felt or nylon glides, depending on whether the floor is tile or timber. We work from the drawing rather than from a stock list. Frame colour, upholstery and seat height stay open until the sample is signed off.
Ordering and care
It is packed flat where the design allows, which keeps the freight bill down on a run of forty or more. Fabric takes a vacuum head once a week and a spot clean the same day something spills.
