It suits a room where the tables are fixed and the chairs are what people rearrange. There is no upholstery to wear through here, so what you see is what the chair is: ash wood through the frame and the seat.
Frame and upholstery
Ash is used for the frame: straight grain, so a thin back rail stays stiff without being made thicker. There is no upholstery on this model, so the frame is the whole chair and there is nothing to recover later.
Built to your drawing
Each run is sampled at the bench: one chair is built first and signed off before the rest start. Nothing here is stocked. Frame colour, upholstery and seat height follow your drawing, and the first sample goes out before the run is booked.
Ordering and care
It is packed flat where the design allows, which keeps the freight bill down on a run of forty or more. Two cloths, one dry and one damp, cover what the frame needs.
