It goes under a table that is cleared and reset four times between opening and close. The ash wood carries the load and the fabric is what people meet at the table, which is the right way round for a chair that gets used all day.
Frame and upholstery
Ash is used for the frame: straight grain, so a thin back rail stays stiff without being made thicker. Upholstery is a woven fabric over foam, with the seams piped so the edge keeps its line.
Built to your drawing
The seat frame is mortised into the legs, not screwed into the outside face where the fixing would show. Nothing here is stocked. Frame colour, upholstery and seat height follow your drawing, and the first sample goes out before the run is booked.
Ordering and care
It is packed flat where the design allows, which keeps the freight bill down on a run of forty or more. Fabric takes a vacuum head once a week and a spot clean the same day something spills.
