It fits the counter side, where the seats sit close and the gap between them is measured. There is no upholstery to wear through here, so what you see is what the chair is: ash wood through the frame and the seat.
Frame and upholstery
Ash is used for the frame: straight grain, so a thin back rail stays stiff without being made thicker. There is no upholstery on this model, so the frame is the whole chair and there is nothing to recover later.
Built to your drawing
Legs are cut from the same board as the rails, so the grain runs the same way round the frame. Nothing here is stocked. Frame colour, upholstery and seat height follow your drawing, and the first sample goes out before the run is booked.
Ordering and care
It is packed flat where the design allows, which keeps the freight bill down on a run of forty or more. Two cloths, one dry and one damp, cover what the frame needs.
