It is the chair for a two-top that has to become a four-top when a group walks in. The solid wood carries the load and the leather is what people meet at the table, which is the right way round for a chair that gets used all day.
Frame and upholstery
The frame is solid wood, jointed and glued at the corners rather than stapled, so it stays square through a year of being pushed in and out. Seat and back are upholstered in leather, cut by hand and stitched with matching thread. The frame is bent rather than cut, so the back has a continuous grain through the curve.
Built to your drawing
The seat frame is mortised into the legs, not screwed into the outside face where the fixing would show. Every run starts from your drawing. Frame colour, upholstery and seat height are open, samples go out before the production run, and the whole order leaves from Foshan.
Ordering and care
It is packed flat where the design allows, which keeps the freight bill down on a run of forty or more. Leather wants a damp cloth and a neutral soap, nothing with solvent in it.
