It fits the counter side, where the seats sit close and the gap between them is measured. There is no upholstery to wear through here, so what you see is what the chair is: solid wood through the frame and the seat.
Frame and upholstery
The frame is solid wood, jointed and glued at the corners rather than stapled, so it stays square through a year of being pushed in and out. There is no upholstery on this model, so the frame is the whole chair and there is nothing to recover later. The back is tufted, with the buttons pulling the panel into shape rather than pressed in for decoration.
Built to your drawing
Legs are cut from the same board as the rails, so the grain runs the same way round the frame. Every run starts from your drawing. Frame colour, upholstery and seat height are open, samples go out before the production run, and the whole order leaves from Foshan.
Ordering and care
It is packed flat where the design allows, which keeps the freight bill down on a run of forty or more. Two cloths, one dry and one damp, cover what the frame needs.
