It is the chair that ends up on the terrace on a warm afternoon and back inside by seven. The solid wood carries the load and the upholstered is what people meet at the table, which is the right way round for a chair that gets used all day.
Frame and upholstery
The frame is solid wood, jointed and glued at the corners rather than stapled, so it stays square through a year of being pushed in and out. Seat and back are upholstered, with the fabric, the colour and the grade open to your sample. The frame is bent rather than cut, so the back has a continuous grain through the curve.
Built to your drawing
Every frame is checked for rock on a flat table before it leaves the bench, not after packing. We build from your floor plan, not from stock. Frame finish, upholstery and seat height are all open to change, and a sample goes out before production.
Ordering and care
It is packed flat where the design allows, which keeps the freight bill down on a run of forty or more. Fabric grade decides the cleaning method, and it is named on the sample tag with the order.
